The total laboratory tests conducted within 24 hours are 3693; of these 157 of them are confirmed positive for COVID-19 and the total confirmed cases as of today are 5846. Among the confirmed cases, 97 of them are male and 60 are female and their age ranges from 1 to 80 years old. One-hundred-fifty-six of the confirmed cases are Ethiopians and one is a foreign national. Among the cases, 132 of them are identified from Addis Ababa city administration, 5 from Amhara region, 5 from Dire Dawa city administration, 5 from Afar region, 3 from Tigray region, 3 from Somali region, 3 from Oromia region and 1 from Benishangul Gumuz region.
Among the total laboratory tests conducted, 52 (28 from health facility and 24 from community) of them were from samples collected from dead bodies 4 of which tested positive for COVID-19. Moreover, one person who was in treatment center has passed away. This brings the total death related to COVID-19 in our country to 103. We would like to pass our condolences to the families. The details of the deaths are presented below.

Furthermore, 298 people (200 from Addis Ababa, 87 from Somali region, 9 from Amhara region, 1 from Oromia region and 1 from DireDawa city administration) recovered from the disease bringing the total number of recoveries to 2430.

The laboratory samples were collected from the high-risk community members, returnees/passengers at mandatory quarantine centers, contacts of the confirmed cases, health facility visitors and suspects at isolation centers.
