The total laboratory tests conducted within 24 hours are 5552; of these 145 of them are confirmed positive for COVID-19 and the total confirmed cases as of today are 5570. Among the confirmed cases, 86 of them are male and 59 are female and their age ranges from 2 month to 90 years old. All of the confirmed cases are Ethiopians. Among the cases, 94 of them are identified from Addis Ababa city administration, 22 are from Oromia region, 10 from Amhara region, 10 from Somali region, 6 from Dire Dawa city administration and 3 from Benishangul Gumuz region.
Among the total laboratory tests conducted, 8 (1 from health facility and 7 from community) of them were from samples collected from dead bodies two of which tested positive for COVID-19. Moreover, three people who were in treatment center have passed away. This brings the total death related to COVID-19 in our country to 94. We would like to pass our condolences to the families. The details of the deaths are presented below.

Furthermore, 327 people (317 from Addis Ababa, 8 from Amhara region, 1 from Tigray region and 1 from Oromia region) recovered from the disease bringing the total number of recoveries to 2015.

The laboratory samples were collected from the high-risk community members, returnees/passengers at mandatory quarantine centers, contacts of the confirmed cases, health facility visitors and suspects at isolation centers.
