The total laboratory tests conducted within 24 hours are 4675; of these one-hundred-forty-one (141) of them are confirmed positive for COVID-19 and the total confirmed cases as of today are 5175. Among the confirmed cases, 81 of them are male and 60 are female and their age ranges from 2 month to 87 years old. One-hundred-thirty-nine of the confirmed cases are Ethiopians and two are foreign nationals. Among the cases, 113 of them are identified from Addis Ababa, 15 are from Oromia region, 6 from Harari region, 3 from Gamella region, 2 from Somali region, 1 from Dire Dawa City Administration and 1 from Benishangul Gumuz region.
Among the total laboratory tests conducted, 18 (4 from health facility and 14 from community) of them were from samples collected from dead bodies none of which tested positive for COVID-19. Moreover, three people that were in treatment center have passed away. This brings the total death related to COVID-19 in our country to eighty-one (81). We would like to pass our condolences to the families. The details of the deaths are presented below.

Furthermore, fifty-eight (58) people (44 from Addis Ababa, 8 from Oromia region, 3 from Somali region, 2 from SNNP region and 1 from Tigray region) recovered from the disease bringing the total number of recoveries to 1544.

The laboratory samples were collected from the high-risk community members, returnees/passengers at mandatory quarantine centers, contacts of the confirmed cases, health facility visitors and suspects at isolation centers.
